As the second longest tunnel and one of the key control projects of Suidai Expressway, Hongxing Tunnel, with a total length of 4.55 kilometres, is a two-way, four-lane detached extra-long tunnel. The line needs to cross a variety of strata, the tunnel rock body is broken, poor hole formation, and rich in groundwater, construction difficulties, high safety risks.
