On February 25th, the "Symposium on Mechanized Roadheading Solutions for Small and Medium Sections in Mining Shafts and Alleys" was held in Changsha under the guidance of Hunan Mining Association and hosted by Wuxin Equipment. Hunan Mining Association, Zhejiang Mining Association, Cangnan County Mining Shaft and Alleyway Industry Association, Hunan Emergency Management Department Non-Coal Mine Safety Supervision Division, Central South University, China Nonferrous Xi'an Survey and Design Institute, Changsha Nonferrous Design and Research Institute, China Nuclear 25 Construction Company, Minmetals 23 Metallurgical Group, Hunan Gold, Gezhouba Epply (Hunan) Science and Technology Company, Zhejiang Tunneling Engineering Company, Hunan Tunneling Engineering Company, Liling Riking Mining Company and other 41 people came to Wuxin Equipment to participate in the meeting, Wuxin Equipment Chairman Yang Zhenshi, General Manager Gong Jun, Deputy General Manager Shao Gaojian attended the meeting.

At the beginning of the seminar, the chairman of the board of directors, Mr. Yang Zhenqi, made a speech on behalf of the organizers, expressing his warm welcome to the experts who came from afar and his best wishes for the success of the conference. Afterwards, Mr. Tan Jiannong, president of Hunan Mining Association, Mr. Wang Zhouping, president of Zhejiang Mining Federation, and Mr. Chen Ruibin, life-long honorary president of Cangnan Mining Shaft and Alleyway Industry Association, delivered speeches respectively.

During the meeting, Wuxin Equipment reported the R&D background, technical advantages and application of Wuxin small cross-section rock drilling dolly WD561 to the attending experts. Liu Xueyong from Non-Coal Mine Safety Supervision Department of Hunan Provincial Emergency Department introduced the basic situation of mines in Hunan Province, and said that the current situation of safety production is not optimistic, and mechanization and intelligence is the development trend. Prof. Wang Shaofeng from Central South University and Prof. Zhu Guohui from Changsha Nonferrous Metallurgical Design and Research Institute shared their views on the current situation, problems and future trends of mining process.

Mr. Yan Hui, Chairman of Hunan Gold Tianyue Mining Co., Ltd. and Mr. Wang Yulin, Chief Engineer of Hunan Tunneling Engineering Co., Ltd. shared the difficulties faced in the process of mining mechanization, and put forward the problems such as the age of rock drilling workers, difficulty in recruiting, how to balance the dual objectives of mechanized construction and economic benefits, how to improve the environmental protection, and how to guarantee after-sales service.

Participating experts had a warm discussion on the theme of the meeting, and agreed that mechanization and intelligence are the important research direction and inevitable development trend of small and medium section mine boring construction technology in mine shafts.

Small and medium-sized section mechanized digging is a general trend, but a long way to go. Participating units will continue to provide new ideas for small and medium section mine mechanization and intelligence, promote new machinery and equipment to mining production, and help small and medium section mine digging to a new journey. Five new equipment will also take the industry's pain points as the research direction, and continue to empower mining with science and technology, helping mining more economical, safer, more efficient and more environmentally friendly.
