CCTV Report | Uniroc To Help The First 10,000-metre Tunnel of The Xikang High-speed Railway

On 11th December, after more than 1,200 days of hard construction, Huajiashan Tunnel of Xikang High-speed Railway constructed by Xicheng Passenger Dedicated Shaanxi Company and undertaken by China Railway Nineteenth Bureau was successfully passed through, which is the first 10,000-metre tunnel of Xikang High-speed Railway, marking a breakthrough progress in construction of the difficult control works along the whole line of Xikang High-speed Railway.

During the construction process of Xikang high-speed railway project, Uniroc's products such as face drill rig, shotcrete machine, digital pouring lining trolley, digital maintenance trolley have played an important role in boosting the smooth passage of Xikang high-speed railway.

Xi'an-Ankang high-speed railway is an important part of the national ‘eight vertical and eight horizontal’ high-speed railway network of Baobao (Silver) Sea Corridor and Beijing-Kunming Corridor, with a total length of about 171 kilometres of the new line and a design speed of 350 kilometres per hour. After the line is completed and opened to traffic, the railway running time from Xi'an to Ankang will be shortened from about 3 hours to less than 1 hour, which is of great significance to help revitalise the villages in the Qinba mountainous area of southern Shaanxi and promote the high-quality development of the regional economy and society.
